When someone stops taking opiates, withdrawal and symptom onset begins almost immediately. Opiates/Opioids causes symptoms of extreme illness, which can last for two weeks or more. Possible symptoms include: sweats, shakes, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, cramping, migraine, delirium and others. Because of its intensity and inherent risk, in order to be done safely, opiate detox should take place in a hospital setting, supervised by licensed medical professionals.

What are the costs involved for detox?

The costs involved for detox under the medical management of Palm Beach Detox and Wellness Institute depends upon the individual needs and care requirements. We take great pride in our initial medical patient assessment where our trained physician and team members gain a better understanding and create a tailored care plan. The cost is strictly dependent upon each individual\'s case, what drug or drugs you are detoxing from, the extent and length of your abuse and more. Please call us today at 561.802.0929, and we will be happy to advise you. At this time, we are not able to accept insurance.

How long will the detox process take?

The length of time needed for detox is highly variable depending on several factors including what substance the patient is using, how long they have been using, and the quantity they are using. It can also vary based on any medical complications. We do not discharge any patient until the medical and wellness staff agrees that a patient is stable and ready. Because we are a private pay facility, the length of stay is determined by the progress of the patient as opposed to a facility that takes insurance which may discharge according to how many days the insurance plan will cover. We have the flexibility to keep a patient as long as medically necessary.
